Users
The Users page lists everyone in your Tenant. For each user it shows their email, their Roles, how they joined and when, and whether they are deactivated.
You need the Right to manage users for everything on this page. Admins hold it.
See the users
Section titled “See the users”In the Admin App, open Users.
Under each user, open Effective Rights to see every Right they hold and where it comes from: one of their own Roles, or a Role of one of their Groups.
Change a user’s Roles
Section titled “Change a user’s Roles”- Select the shield next to the user.
- Select the Roles they should have. They get the Rights of every Role you select.
- Select Save.
The change takes effect at once. The user doesn’t need to sign in again.
If you don’t hold the Right to manage Roles and Rights, you may only give Roles whose Rights you hold yourself. This keeps anyone from gaining more Rights through managing users than they have.
Deactivate a user
Section titled “Deactivate a user”Deactivate a user to block them for a while, for example during a long leave.
- Select the crossed-out person next to the user.
- Select Deactivate.
From their next request on, they can’t use your Tenant: they can’t sign in to it, and the agent and the apps refuse them. Their Conversations and other data stay. If they are a member of other Tenants, they can keep working there.
To let them in again, select the person with the tick next to them, then Reactivate. They get back the Roles they had.
Remove a user
Section titled “Remove a user”Remove a user who leaves your company for good.
- Select the bin next to the user.
- Read what will be deleted, then select Remove.
Their Conversations and everything else they have in your Tenant are deleted at once. This can’t be undone. If your Tenant was their only one, their account is deleted too, and they can’t sign in at all any more. Their data in other Tenants stays.
Your Tenant always keeps someone who can manage Roles
Section titled “Your Tenant always keeps someone who can manage Roles”The Admin App refuses to deactivate or remove the last active user with the Right to manage Roles and Rights, and to take their last Role that holds it. Give the Right to another active user first.
Scavenger AI staff don’t count here, since your Tenant can’t manage them.
Every change to a user is recorded in your Tenant’s Audit Log, with who made it, and for a change of Roles, which Roles and Rights were given or taken.
Scavenger AI staff
Section titled “Scavenger AI staff”Below your users, the Users page lists Scavenger AI’s Super-admins, marked Scavenger AI staff. They are members of every Tenant, so that our support never depends on an invitation, and they hold every Right in it, whatever your Roles say. They sign in with their personal account, a password and two-step verification, whatever your sign-in settings.
Your Tenant can’t change, deactivate or remove them, so the page offers no actions on them. Everything they do in your Tenant is in its Audit Log under their own account, marked as staff. Their own Conversations stay private to them, as everyone’s do.
