Invite users

People join your Tenant through an Invitation. You enter their email address and choose their Roles, and they get an email with a link. Once they accept the Invitation and sign in, they are a member of your Tenant with those Roles. Someone without an account creates one with a password on the Invitation’s page; nobody can create an account without an Invitation.

For everything on this page you need the Right to manage users. Admins have it.

  1. In the Admin App, open Invitations.
  2. Select Invite someone.
  3. Enter their email address.
  4. Choose their Roles. Member is chosen to begin with. See Roles and Rights for what each Role may do.
  5. Select Send invitation.

The email is in English and German. Its link is valid for seven days and works once.

You see the same answer whether or not the email address already has an account. This way nobody can find out through an Invitation who uses the Strategy Agent.

You can’t invite an email address that already has an open Invitation to your Tenant. Resend that one instead.

Invitations lists every Invitation that is still open, newest first, with its Roles:

  • Pending: sent, and not accepted yet. It shows until when it is valid.
  • Accepted: the person accepted it. They join your Tenant the next time they sign in, if that is within the seven days.
  • Expired: not used within seven days, accepted or not. Resend it to give them a new link.

Once someone has joined, their Invitation leaves the list.

Select the arrow next to a pending or expired Invitation. The person gets a new email with a new link, valid for seven days from now. The link in the earlier email stops working.

Select the cross next to an Invitation, then Revoke. Its link stops working, and the page it opens says the Invitation was withdrawn. You can invite the person again later.
